It’s a testament of how little free time I’ve had recently that I’ve only just now gotten around to downloading Firefox 3. But I’ve eeked out some time now to play around with it a bit and after the initial shock of “OMG, my navigation toolbar looks weird”, I’m getting into some of the much touted features.
What I want to mention here, though, is the built-in Picnik nav bar add-on:
I found it by accident (I’m pressed for time! I didn’t read the features page! I never read instructions!) when I accidentally reverted the toolbar to the default and managed to lose my del.icio.us buttons.
So think of this as an appendix to my earlier rant about related software (which, as I went to link to it, I realized I never posted, but I wrote it last Thursday. Man, I’m not up to speed anymore at all…)
The Picnik button is basically a screen shot tool that captures the image– either the visible portion of the screen or the full page– then opens up Picnik for your editing pleasure. Nice and easy, simple, straightforward. Not as useful as SnagIt, but since it’s free, it’s a LOT better than nothing at all.
