I’m definitely going to ACRL next year in Seattle and although I probably don’t need to, I’m determined to justify my attendance by presenting there. To that end, I just submitted a poster proposal! I had thought about proposing a full-out session, but as the deadline (May 12) crept closer I was feeling session-presentation burn-out; an accumulation of March’s ACA/PCA presentation, the then all-consuming teleconference and the rapidly approaching LOEX of the West. A poster session seems manageable. For one, no PowerPoint slides to agonize over! Second, after just having the opportunity to serve as a reviewer for our college’s LTA Portfolio Expo, I’ve got a new thing for three-paneled poster boards.
The due date for poster proposals isn’t until mid-October, so although I clicked that Submit button, I still have months and months to agonize over whether I should have made my “long description” longer.
